Draper climbs from the valley floor to SunCrest, and the same four conditions show up on nearly every property we assess.
East-side lawns sit on old Lake Bonneville shorelines. Gravelly soil drains fast and loses nutrients, so feeding has to be steady, not heavy.
Newer subdivisions often have thin topsoil over packed fill. Liquid aeration loosens it without pulling plugs or hitting sprinklers.
Steady afternoon wind dries turf and blows sprinkler spray off target. We watch for dry, wind-side edges and flag them early.
High pH locks up iron, so lawns yellow even when fed. We add iron to the blend instead of piling on more nitrogen.
Grass types we treat: Kentucky bluegrass, tall fescue, fine fescues and perennial ryegrass.
Draper rises more than 1,500 feet from the valley floor to SunCrest. Where your lawn sits changes when it greens up, how fast it dries out and what it has to fight.

SunCrest lawn care →| What you see | Likely cause | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Brown patches that peel up like carpet | White grubs or billbug larvae eating roots | Curative grub treatment now, preventive in late spring |
| Yellow lawn even after fertilizing | Iron deficiency from alkaline soil | Iron-supplemented feed |
| Dry, straw-colored strips on slopes and windward edges | Fast-draining bench soil, wind drift or sprinkler gaps | Watering plan + liquid aeration so water soaks in |
| Gray or pink matted patches after snowmelt | Snow mold, most common at SunCrest and upper benches | Fall winterizer timing + spring recovery feed |
| Crabgrass along sidewalks and edges | Missed or late pre-emergent | Spring pre-emergent, spot post-emergent |
| Rings or spots that spread in summer heat | Fungal disease (summer patch, necrotic ring spot) | Diagnosis and targeted disease control |

We pick the right tool for each visit. Draper's mix of rocky bench soil and compacted new-build lots changes which one we reach for.
| Feature | Liquid (Holmes) | Core (machine) |
|---|---|---|
| Soil plugs left on lawn | None | Yes |
| Sprinkler heads marked first | Not needed | Required |
| When it can be applied | Through the growing season | Usually spring or fall |
| Best for | Ongoing compaction on new-build lots | Severe, deep compaction |

No. We don’t require a contract for any service. You stay because the results are good, not because you’re locked in.
Our program includes seven treatments, spaced about 5–6 weeks apart. Depending on your lawn they include liquid fertilization, grub and billbug prevention, and liquid aeration.
We usually begin in early spring, as soon as the ground thaws. Valley-floor lawns are often ready a week or two before SunCrest and the upper benches, so we time your first visit to your elevation and finish every lawn with a fall winterizer. We'll let you know before each visit.
Keep kids and pets off treated areas until the application has dried, usually about an hour. Your technician will leave a note with what was applied and when the lawn is ready.
Wait for a couple of hours before mowing so the product can work. Watering depends on the application, and your technician’s note will tell you exactly what to do.
If rain would wash out a treatment, we’ll reschedule and let you know. If a treatment doesn’t take because of weather, we come back free.
Liquid aeration uses natural compounds that break up compacted soil so water, air and nutrients reach the roots. Unlike core aeration, it leaves no soil plugs and can be applied throughout the season, which makes it a good fit for Draper's compacted new-build lots.
We look at soil compaction, signs of drought or irrigation stress, insect damage and disease. Draper soils tend to be alkaline, so instead of adding lime we look for iron deficiency and adjust your feeding plan.
We treat Kentucky bluegrass, tall fescue, fine fescues and perennial ryegrass, the most common grasses in Salt Lake County lawns, and tailor each treatment to your turf.
Price depends on your lawn's square footage and which services you choose. We measure your yard and send a free quote with no contract, so you know the exact cost per visit before we start.
Yes. We treat lawns across all of Draper, from the valley floor up through South Mountain, Corner Canyon and SunCrest. Higher-elevation lawns green up later and hold snow longer, so we adjust the timing of your first and last visits to match.
Our dedicated team wants all homeowners in Draper to feel a sense of pride when we finish with their lawns. Our high-quality treatments and commitment to customer service ensure that we do the job right every single time.
