Submit a minimum 1500 word article on the benefits provided by one of the approved topics.

We will accept a recent transcript at the desired University, acceptance letter, or tuition bill as proof of enrollment.

If you are in the process of applying for colleges, please indicate your current school and submit a document with the schools you have currently applied to. If you are selected for the scholarship, we will ask you to provide proof of enrollment at that time.

What is the Holmes Aspiring Learner Scholarship?

 Holmes Lawn & Pest will be awarding a $1,500 scholarship for the best article we receive with $50 available to runner-up articles. We want to aid in the success of your aspirations by providing a scholarship to help you get the education you’re seeking.

Who is Eligible for the Holmes Aspiring Learner Scholarship?

  • All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or University for the semester they are applying to receive the scholarship.
  • Applicants may have any major
  • There are no minimum GPA requirements.
  • Domestic, International, and Undocumented Students may apply.
  • Students attending online universities are welcome to apply.
  • Students from any background may apply for the scholarship.

Additional information

  • Payment of the award will be made at the start of the semester, after submitting proof of enrollment.
  • Students who have previously received one award must reapply in order to be eligible for a second award.
  • The scholarship is available on a yearly basis and is non-renewable.
  • All applications must be submitted by January 10th, Annually.
  • A winner will be selected and notified via email during the month of January, annually. Runner-ups will be notified via email during the month of January as well.
 

Privacy Policy

By Submitting an application, we are granted permission to send applicants information regarding their application only, via their submitted email address.

No applicants will be contacted regarding anything other than their application.

The winner’s article will be posted on holmesutah.com and/or in other marketing communications relating to the scholarship program. The winner will be asked if they will grant Holmes Lawn & Pest permission to post their name, school, and award amount on Holmesutah.com and/or in other marketing communications relating to the scholarship program.

Proof of enrollment and email address are both erased as soon as the winner and all runner-ups are announced.

Holmes Lawn & Pest and it’s representatives will not knowingly sell, share, rent, or otherwise transfer your information other than in accordance with the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Terms & Conditions

All submitted articles must be the original work of the applicant. All scholarships are non-renewable. By submitting an application to Holmes Lawn & Pest, you certify that all the information you have provided is original, accurate, and complete.

As outlined in the Privacy Policy, Holmes Lawn & Pest holds the right to publish an applicant’s article to Holmesutah.com and/or in other marketing communications relating to the scholarship program. Once permission is granted by the applicant, Holmes Lawn & Pest and it’s agents or representatives have permission to:

Use the applicant’s name, school, and award amount, if any, on Holmesutah.com or in announcements/articles (i.e. social media, newsletter, etc) issued by Holmes Lawn & Pest.
