All right guys, it’s time for the Draper lawn care tip of the week! Let’s talk about trees and tree roots in the lawn, specifically. Do you have trees in your yard? A big problem with tree roots, especially like an Aspen tree, you get the roots that surface and they cause problems. They don’t look good. It’s bumpy. Your lawnmower might hit these. It’s just a really big problem. One main cause of this is watering too shallow. So if you are concerned with this or you have this problem, change your watering schedule. Under most cases, we always recommend watering less days and more minutes. The grass roots and the tree roots are going to follow the water. So by watering every day for less minutes, that water stays really shallow, and that’s where all the roots are going to be. So water deeper, less frequently. Those roots are going to go down to get the water. I hope this helps your lawn, and I hope it helps your trees. If you have any more lawn care Draper questions, please let us know.
